The ADP-90DC-12 stabiliser was specially developed to prevent flat screen type TVs (LCDs) from being damaged by over voltage when being powered from an unregulated 12 volt supply. The screen of a LCD type TV uses TFT (Thin Film Transistor) technology which is susceptible to over voltage conditions.
